Organizations of the Parish
Activities of the Mar Thoma Church are not confined to worship services conducted within the four walls of the Churches and Prayer Halls. The leaders of the Reformation movement of the Church realised that the success of the movement contributing to the growth of the Church depended mainly on promoting the following aspects of a Christian culture.
1. Rearing the next generation in a Christian atmosphere from their early childhood.
2. Retaining them on firm Christian faith through the subsequent stages of youth, parenthood and old age.
3. Addressing the pressing needs of the poor and the downtrodden people
4. Encouraging members to lead a life bearing witness to Christian teachings good enough for people belonging to other denominations to emulate for the common good of the society.
For fulfilling the above objectives, several organisations came into being at different stages in the life of the church.
Our parish too followed suit and has developed a strong community of Mar Thomites who bear witness to the the mission of Jesus Christ in society, through various activities adopted upon by these organisations.
